At WallFeel, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how WallFeel collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit www.wallfeel.com, contact us, create or place an order, upload content for a personalised product, or otherwise interact with our services.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “WallFeel”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to WallFeel and the business operating www.wallfeel.com.

By using our website, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights available to you under applicable data-protection law.

  • payment and transaction information;
  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • website activity;
  • cookie and similar technology information; and
  • marketing preferences.

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

2. Information You Provide When Ordering

When you place an order, we collect information necessary to process and fulfil that order.

This may include your:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Billing address
  • Delivery address
  • Order details
  • Wall measurements
  • Customisation requirements

Where required, this information may be shared with service providers involved in processing, producing and delivering your order.

3. Personalised Photographs, Artwork & Uploaded Content

WallFeel allows customers to provide photographs, artwork, graphics, logos and other content for personalised products.

Uploaded content may contain personal information, including images of identifiable people or pets.

We use customer-uploaded content primarily to:

  • create your requested design;
  • prepare previews or proofs;
  • adjust artwork for production;
  • manufacture your personalised product;
  • perform quality-control activities;
  • resolve order-related problems; and
  • provide customer support.

Where necessary to manufacture your product, uploaded content may be securely provided to production partners involved in fulfilling your order.

Your photographs remain yours.

Uploading a photograph or other content to WallFeel does not transfer ownership of that content to WallFeel.

You grant WallFeel and the service providers necessary to fulfil your order a limited permission to process and reproduce the content solely as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service and fulfil your order, unless you separately give us permission for another use.

4. Photographs of Other People

If you upload an identifiable photograph of another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate authority or permission to use that photograph for the requested personalised product.

You should not upload photographs or other content that you do not have the right to use.

5. Customer Images & WallFeel Marketing

We will not use a customer’s private uploaded photograph, personalised artwork or completed personalised product for advertising, social media, promotional materials or public galleries solely because it was uploaded to place an order.

Where we would like to feature customer content publicly, we will obtain appropriate permission where required.

If you voluntarily tag WallFeel, submit content specifically for publication, participate in a promotion or otherwise give permission for us to use your content, the terms associated with that permission will apply.

You may contact us if you have questions about previously authorised content.

6. How We Use Personal Information

We may process personal information to:

  • process orders;
  • manufacture personalised products;
  • arrange fulfilment and delivery;

We will not use personal information in ways incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected unless permitted or required by law.

7. Legal Bases for Processing

Where UK GDPR or similar data-protection legislation requires us to identify a legal basis, we may process personal information because:

Contract

processing is necessary to fulfil your order or take steps requested by you before entering into a contract.

Legitimate interests

processing is reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes such as preventing fraud, improving our services, securing our website and providing customer support, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent

where we ask for and rely upon your consent, including certain marketing or cookie activities.

Legal obligation

where processing is necessary for us to comply with applicable law.

The applicable legal basis depends on the particular processing activity.

8. Payments

Payments made through WallFeel.com are processed using the payment methods and payment providers made available through our online store.

WallFeel does not ordinarily receive or store complete payment-card numbers where those details are processed directly by our payment providers.

Payment providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

9. Shopify

WallFeel.com is operated using Shopify’s ecommerce platform.

Shopify may process personal information necessary to operate the store, provide ecommerce functionality, secure transactions and support orders.

Shopify’s handling of personal information is also governed by its applicable privacy terms and policies.

10. Production & Fulfilment Partners

WallFeel works with specialist production, printing, manufacturing, logistics and fulfilment partners.

Some of these partners may be located outside the United Kingdom.

We may provide them with information reasonably necessary to manufacture and deliver an order, which may include:

  • customer name;
  • delivery details;
  • order specifications;
  • wall dimensions;
  • selected design;
  • personalised artwork or photographs; and
  • other information required to fulfil the order.

These partners are not authorised by WallFeel to use customer information for their own unrelated marketing purposes merely because they receive information to fulfil a WallFeel order.

11. International Transfers

Because WallFeel operates internationally and works with service providers and production partners in different countries, personal information may sometimes be processed outside the United Kingdom.

Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will take appropriate steps designed to protect the information in accordance with applicable requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, these safeguards may include recognised adequacy arrangements, contractual safeguards or other legally permitted transfer mechanisms.

12. Delivery Companies

This typically includes:

  • your name;
  • delivery address;
  • telephone number;

Where permitted, WallFeel may send information about:

  • new designs;
  • new products;

  • WallFeel inspiration; and
  • other relevant updates.

Where consent is required, we will request it before sending such marketing.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe option provided in the message or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional communications about an existing order.

16. When We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with organisations that help us operate WallFeel, including:

  • Shopify;
  • payment providers;
  • production and manufacturing partners;
  • fulfilment providers;
  • delivery and courier companies;
  • website hosting and technology providers;
  • customer-service providers;
  • analytics providers;

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or lawful request from an appropriate authority.

We do not sell customer personal information for money.

Certain advertising/data-sharing activities may nevertheless have specific legal definitions in some jurisdictions. Where applicable, we provide the choices and rights required by those laws.

17. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • fulfilling orders;
  • customer service;
  • handling disputes;
  • maintaining transaction and accounting records;
  • fraud prevention; and
  • complying with legal obligations.

Different categories of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

WallFeel takes reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against:

  • unauthorised access;
  • accidental loss;
  • misuse;
  • alteration; and
  • unauthorised disclosure.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Customers should take reasonable care to protect their own account credentials and devices.

19. Children’s Privacy

WallFeel products may include designs intended for children’s bedrooms, nurseries, schools or other child-friendly environments.

However, WallFeel.com is not intended to collect personal information directly from children who are below the applicable age for independently consenting to online data processing.

Parents or guardians purchasing personalised products involving images of children should ensure they have appropriate authority to provide those images.

20. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

For UK customers, these may include the right to:

  • request access to personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion in certain circumstances;
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request data portability where applicable; and

UK individuals also have the right to raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) where applicable.

Nothing in this section affects any rights available under applicable data-protection law.

22. International Customers

Customers outside the United Kingdom may have additional privacy rights under laws applicable in their country or region.

Where those laws apply to WallFeel, we will respect mandatory privacy rights and requirements applicable to the relevant processing.

23. Third-Party Websites

WallFeel.com may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing personal information to it.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to:
